CUHP Library Services 

1. Help Desk

This very section exists both physically, within the CUHP Library, as well as virtually on the CUHP Library website. The patrons can submit any queries and suggestions regarding the CUHP Library at a box at the Help Desk section in the library or through an online form on the CUHP Library website. Given the fact that the patrons/users are at the focus of CUHP Library services, hence, this section not only strives to provide real-time resolution of patrons’ queries, but also, it seeks to involve patrons, in a participatory manner, in reinforcing the library services.

2. Circulation Desk

All students, faculties and employees of the university are entitled for the membership of the library. All bonafide members above shall to fill up and sign a membership registration form available on university site (form section) or at help desk wing of the Membership Counter. After verifying all documents, an Identity cum Library Smart Card (ILS) will be issues to every member according to the user/ patron category to which he/she belongs, complete with a QR code.

4. Regular membership- The following categories of persons shall become members of the CUHP University Library System by default:
   1. All the regular teaching and non-teaching employees of CUHP.
   2. All regular students, doctoral and postdoctoral scholars of CUHP.
   3. All bonafide members above shall fill up and sign a membership registration form available at the Membership Section of the library. After verifying all documents, an Identity cum Library Smart Card (ILS) will be issues to every member according to the category to which he/she belongs to. Membership of a student shall remain valid till he/she remains on the rolls of the University. Membership of an employee will be valid till the last day of his/her service in CUHP.
5. Renewal of membership- The students and research scholars do not have to renew their library membership.

• Special Membership- Provided that a person other than the above categories may be allowed to become member of the library as a special case on a request in writing from the person concerned. The decision of the Librarian in this regard shall be final. If a person is allowed to become a member of the CUHP Library he/she shall pay an annual membership fee and security deposit.

1. Library Clearance Certificate- A Library Clearance Certificate may be issued to members only on returning all books borrowed and surrendering the ILS. Library clearance certificate is must for declaration of final result, award of MPhil/PHD/any other degree, superannuation/resignation/transfer of employees.
2. Loss of Identity cum Library Smart Card- The loss of ILS CARD should be reported immediately in writing [in prescribed format] to the Librarian along with FIR copy and a fine of Rs.500 will be charged for re-issue of a new card.

4. Support for differently-abled users

The CUHP Library provides a wide range of services to differently-abled users like availability of assistive softwares, special book loan facilities for users afflicted with dyslexia and similar problems and provision of library resources in alternate formats like Braille.

5. QR Code for quick access

CUHP Library provides you the way to access the site quickly through QR Code: You need to only scan the QR Code through your Mobile’s QR Code Scanner App and access the site by clicking on it. The QR code to visit the library is given below:
